Insurance and Construction Related Tree ReportsWe are qualified and experienced in delivering BS5837 ‘Trees in relation to construction’ reports. These are increasingly demanded by local planning authorities for many developments where trees, whether protected or not, can be important in a planning application. The local planning authority will consider any trees of status and significance where they may be affected by the works proposed in the application for a site. Additionally, appropriate trees of good quality and value can greatly enhance a new development, such as providing an immediate sense of maturity to the site, shade in the summer, screening, and other valuable features. It is therefore important that an early assessment of the trees on and near to the site is carried out to identify appropriate trees for retention, how much protection they need and how to achieve this both during the construction process and in the continuing use of the finished product. Our BS5837 reports vary according to context but will include a Tree Constraints Plan, Tree Protection Plan, and Arboricultural Implications Assessment, and Arboricultural Method Statement as necessary. These allow the LPA to be able to properly consider a planning application and for that application to progress smoothly and, hopefully, successfully. They also aid your client and/or yourselves to make an educated decision as to which trees should be retained if possible. |
